Co-operating and swindling with the expectation of recompense is a sin

Allah Ta’ala has created people high and low, tests them with wealth and poverty. So that they can be helpful and complementary to each other. Patience, compassion and humanity are practiced. These are signs of God’s creation mystery.

Charity is a very important act of worship in Islam. It is a claim of faith and a deed highly favored by Allah. It is said in the hadith, ‘The person who does more good for people, is the best person.’ This good can be done in different ways.

With money, power, intelligence or knowledge. A person who engages his God-given talents in the service of humanity, his talents become worthwhile and he achieves success in both this world and the Hereafter. Whatever kind of charity is done, for it to be considered an acceptable and dignified reward in the sight of Allah, it must be done solely with the aim of attaining the pleasure of Allah, without any worldly motive or self-interest. That is, one should not receive any form of recompense, fame or reputation, gain social status or enjoy any other benefits from the beneficiary.

or hurt, belittle or stifle someone by donation. Allah says, We feed you only to gain the pleasure of Allah. We do not ask for any reward or gratitude from you. (Surah Dahar: 9) Because the blessings of Allah will be given to the person who spends his life and wealth in the way of Allah. Allah says, Allah has bought from the believers their lives and wealth, in exchange for Paradise for them.

(Surah Tawba: 111) The Prophet (PBUH) said, whoever solves the worldly problems of a believer, Allah will free him from the problems of the Hereafter. Whoever comes forward to help the needy, Allah will grant him happiness and peace in this world and the hereafter. Whoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will cover all his faults in this world and the hereafter. Allah is with the servant as long as he is engaged in helping his brother. (Muslims) The fruits of philanthropy are found not only in the hereafter but also in this world. But it is possible only when the intention is only to please Allah. If one’s intention is bad and hurts, belittles or insults the benefited person, then all benefits to that person are lost and the reward is denied.

In this context, Allah says, Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah, and do not beg or suffer after spending, will be rewarded with their Lord. They will have no fear and they will not be sad. (Surah Baqarah: 262).
