It will not be possible to sustain the parliament and it will be difficult to keep the government stable.He said these things at a press conference organized on ‘Contemporary Political Situation’ at Rajshahi Parjatan Motel on Tuesday (October 28) afternoon.Nahid Islam said, ‘If someone wants to break the national unity or ignores the expectations of the people due to greed for power, it will bring a big disaster for them. No government can survive if it loses the trust of the people.’Regarding the July Charter, he said, ‘It is just a formality until the process of implementing the charter is clear. In history, we have seen that even after the mass uprising of the 90s, the outline of the three-party alliance deceived the people. We don't want that history to repeat itself.'Describing the Election Commission as arbitrary for not giving the Shapla symbol, he said, 'Our symbol has been canceled without any explanation. This shows that the Election Commission is not working independently, but is being directed by someone else.'He also said, 'We want to move forward through the democratic process. But if our path to participate in the elections is blocked, then the highway will be our only option.'Regarding the alliance, Nahid Islam said, 'We have not yet decided to join any alliance. However, the principle position of the July Charter is important to us. We can enter into discussions only with those who will stand for reforms and the interests of the people.'Describing the upcoming elections as important, he said, 'The elections should be held within the announced deadline of February. If uncertainty is created, it will be harmful to democracy. The fallen fascist forces are already involved in various conspiracies, everyone should be careful about that.'
