He mentioned that the implementation of the July Charter and the trial of the genocide must be made and the trial process must be taken forward. Quick elections are necessary for the stability of the country, but the necessary reforms must be completed quickly.He told reporters after interviewing the aspirants to form the convening committees of the eight districts and the metropolis of the division at the Rangpur Tourism Motel on Wednesday (October 29) evening.Nahid Islam said that a multifaceted crisis has arisen in the country. The forces of the fallen dictatorship are conspiring. We need national unity for the multifaceted crisis. We have to resolve the problems that exist between our parties and stay in one place. If someone thinks that they will lead everything alone and form the government, this will not be possible. If there is no minimum unity among all the parties in the country, it will not be possible for anyone to form the government alone and maintain the parliament. If we go to the elections ignoring the minimum aspirations of the people, demands for reforms and justice, it will not be sustainable.He further said, for sustainable and stable change, we want to move forward by making minimum reforms and amending the constitution in a few places. If there are obstacles at that point, or if the government delays, the government and the obstacles will have to face the people.Regarding the alliance, Nahid Islam said, the people's interest in the old parties has decreased. The Awami Fascist group has been expelled from the country. For the past 16 years, many have not been able to stand up for the people properly. There are past stigmas of various parties. There has been a lot of criticism of corruption during the BNP regime. Their party has been discussed even after August 5. Jamaat has a historical responsibility, they have also been criticized after the mass uprising. Therefore, we must think before forming any kind of alliance. From a policy perspective, we will think about those who agree with us on the July Charter, justice and reforms.Nahid Islam, the one-point announcer of the 24th mass uprising on the implementation of the July Charter, said, "There has been considerable progress in the implementation of the July Charter. There was no need for the Consensus Commission to give two proposals. The second proposal is absolutely unacceptable. We support the first proposal subject to some amendments. Our demand was to publish the July Charter order and clarify who will issue the order. The recommendation states that the interim government will issue the order. We also talked about a referendum. Through this, the next parliament will have the power to create the reformed Constitution 2026.Regarding the discussion in the Consensus Commission, he said that the BNP was against major reforms in the Consensus Commission. Naturally, the question arose whether they wanted the entire reform process. BNP vetoed important reforms. Since other parties were in consensus, they have moved away from that position due to public pressure.The NCP convener demanded the implementation of the July Charter, announcement of a roadmap for justice, creation of a level playing field and reorganization of the Election Commission.At that time, NCP Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, Chief Organizer (Northern Region) Sarjis Alam, Rangpur Divisional Organizing Secretary Dr. Atiq Mujahid, District NPC Chief Coordinator Asadullah Ghalib, Metropolitan Chief Coordinator Sadia Farzana Dina and local leaders of the party were present.
