This was announced in a press release on Sunday (November 2).Earlier, voting was held from October 9 to October 25 from members (Rukons) across the country through secret ballot. After the voting process, the concerned team completed the counting of votes.Then on Saturday (November 1) night, the Chief Election Commissioner, Assistant Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum, who is in charge of conducting the internal elections of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, announced the results of the Ameer election.According to the results, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has been elected as the Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami for the 2026-2028 term by receiving the highest number of votes.
