Stating that the government is determined to hold elections, Law Advisor Professor Asif Nazrul said that the national elections will be held in February. After that, the interim government will leave.He gave this information in response to a question from journalists at the Secretariat on Tuesday (August 19).The legal advisor said, "The responsibility of holding the election is the government's, not the party's. The government is firmly committed to holding the election. We are keeping this in mind in all the steps we have, the election in February, we will go in February."In response to a question, Asif Nazrul said, "Political parties say different things for different purposes. That is a political process. You have always seen it. Traditionally, these political conversations used to happen in Bangladesh, and they are still happening in the same way. There has not been much qualitative change in the conversations. As a result, you will see who says what during the election as part of the political process."He further said, "We, on behalf of the government, are determined. Our sir (chief advisor) is a universally recognized and respected person on the world stage. He himself has made the announcement. We have no intention of backing down from his announcement."
