BNP has organized prayers and supplications at all mosques, temples and other religious places of worship in the country today (December 5) for the speedy recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the program at a press conference at the party's central office in Nayapaltan in the capital on Thursday (December 4).BNP has requested people of their respective religious communities to pray to the Creator at temples, churches and pagodas and other places of worship for the speedy recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia.Rizvi said that Begum Khaleda Zia's physical condition remains unchanged. He said, Begum Khaleda Zia is a symbol of the unique political unity of this country. Despite numerous oppression, torture and persecution, her decision and steadfast attitude could not be shaken. She may have been made ill by various plots, conspiracies and torture, but her morale could not be weakened for the people of the country and the issues of independence, sovereignty and democracy.Rizvi said that every person in the country, as well as the international community, is praying for her.BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is currently undergoing treatment at the capital's Evercare Hospital in a 'very critical' condition. She has been in the hospital for 12 consecutive days. Of these, the former prime minister has been under close observation in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) for 8 days. Her physical condition is unchanged. However, she is responding to the calls of doctors. Her treatment is being carried out very meticulously under the supervision of local and foreign specialist doctors.
