Osman Gani , Upazila Correspondent, Chandina || Local Member of Parliament (MP) Atiqul Alam Shawn visited the site of a devastating fire at Jamirapara village in Mahichail Union of Chandina Upazila. At around 1:30 PM today, Wednesday (February 18), he arrived at the scene to speak with the affected families and offer his heartfelt condolences.During the visit, MP Atiqul Alam Shawn inquired about the well-being of the eight families who lost their belongings in the blaze and expressed deep sympathy for their loss. As part of his humanitarian efforts, he provided a financial grant of 5,000 BDT to each family from his personal fund. He assured the victims of his continued support and promised to secure necessary government assistance for them in the future.The MP was accompanied during the visit by former General Secretary of Upazila BNP Kazi Arshad, Councilor Shahidul Islam Sarkar, Farhad Karim, Lokman Hossain Shahjahan, and Kamal Hossain. Local dignitaries including Shamim Majumdar, Saiful Islam, Sadek Member, Babul Hossain, Robel Mridha, and Tariful Islam, along with other local leaders and activists, were also present. The affected families expressed their gratitude for the prompt presence and support of their representative during this difficult time.
