Acting President Hafiz Uddin Ahmed paid tribute to the martyrs of Bangladesh’s Liberation War at the National Martyrs’ Memorial in Savar on the first working day after assuming his responsibilities.At around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, he laid a wreath at the memorial, honoring the sacrifices of those who gave their lives during the Liberation War. The tribute marked the beginning of his official schedule for the day.According to his itinerary, the Acting President is scheduled to visit the graves of late President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, at around 12:30 p.m. to pay his respects.Following the visits, he will return to Bangabhaban to carry out his regular official duties as Acting President.
