The quarterly meeting of ‘B-91 Cooperative Society’, an organization formed by the 1991 SSC batch students of Mohichail High School in Chandina, Cumilla, was held yesterday, Friday (September 11). The joint gathering and discussion meeting took place at the Grand Circle Hotel adjacent to Rajarbagh Police Lines in Dhaka.Presided over by the organization's President, Md. Joynal Abedin, the welcome address was delivered by General Secretary Kamrul Hasan. Journalist and columnist Osman Gani delivered a speech as the special guest. Additionally, members including Mozammel Haque, Ziaur Rahman, Mizanur Rahman, Ali Ashraf, Abu Taher, Abdul Malek and Mostafa Kamal shared their thoughts regarding the future action plan of the organization.The central discussion focused on the future use of the organization’s own plot purchased in the capital's Staff Quarter area. Members presented their respective proposals on whether it would be advisable to construct a multi-story building and distribute the flats among members, or to sell the land in its current plot-filing state. Concurrently, outstanding monthly dues were collected from the attending members, while those unable to attend were urged to clear their dues promptly.The members resolved to uphold their founding commitment to gather multiple times a year to strengthen the bonds of friendship. It was unanimously decided in principle to organize a colorful 'Family Get-Together' and annual tour in November or December, featuring all members and their families. Speakers reiterated that securing a residence for every member through collective efforts and small savings remains one of the primary goals of the organization.
