Osman Gani , Upazila Correspondent, Chandina || Students of Chandina Government Model Pilot High School in Cumilla have taken an oath to keep themselves away from drugs, juvenile delinquency, and the misuse of smartphones, while inspiring themselves with patriotism, morality, and human values. During the event, they displayed red cards to say "No" to drugs, juvenile crime, and smartphone misuse.The program was organized on Tuesday (September 15) at the Chandina Government Pilot High School auditorium, featuring an awareness discussion and a patriotic oath-taking ceremony hosted by the voluntary organization Lal Sabuj Unnayan Sangha.Chaired by the school's Headmaster, Nikhil Chandra, the event was attended by Chandina Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Ashraful Haq as the chief guest. Special guests included Chandina Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Nuruzzaman, Founder and Central President of Lal Sabuj Unnayan Sangha Kawsar Alam Sohel, and Central Organizational Secretary M. S. I. Farid Bhuiyan.Also present were Chandina branch Assistant Organizational Secretary Atiqur Rahman, Publicity Secretary Shakil Rana, Finance Secretary Nabil; Cumilla City branch Finance Secretary Akib Hasan, Publicity Secretary Salman Sajil, Planning Affairs Secretary Solaiman Siam; along with members Zobayer, Armar, Irfan, Naim, Rakib, among others.Later, chief guest Mohammad Ashraful Haq administered the oath to the students, encouraging them to stay away from drugs, juvenile crime, and smartphone abuse, and to grow up inspired by patriotism and ethics. During this time, the students held up red cards to say "No" to crime and drugs.Kawsar Alam Sohel, Founder and Central President of Lal Sabuj Unnayan Sangha, stated that the organization—built on savings from students' lunch money—has been working for 15 years to raise social awareness across all 64 districts of the country. So far, approximately 4.6 million students have been engaged in various awareness initiatives.
