Md. Osman Gani , Upazila Correspondent, Chandina || Cumilla's Chandina Thana Police arrested a total of 35 individuals, including drug peddlers and convicts, during a special operation. The Chandina Thana Police conducted this drive over the last 24 hours.Under the directives of the Superintendent of Police, Cumilla, and the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Daudkandi Circle, a police force led by the Officer-in-Charge of Chandina Thana carried out the operation. During the drive, 07 professional drug peddlers were arrested along with Eskaf syrup, cannabis, and Yaba tablets. Additionally, 05 others including a CR warrant convict sentenced to 01 year of rigorous imprisonment along with 04 individuals under Section 34 of the Police Act, were detained. Furthermore, as part of efforts to curb crime tendencies, 19 individuals were detained on suspicion of involvement with teenage gangs. In total, 35 people involved in various offenses were brought to the station by the police. Legal action has been taken against the arrestees, and they have been forwarded to the court.
