An allegation has been raised against a man named Shaheen Maishan for blocking a homestead courtyard and main access road with a bamboo fence, effectively confining a family in Maijkhhar village under Maijkhhar union of Comilla's Chandina upazila. According to local sources, Matin Maishan, son of the late Korban Ali of the Maishan family, sold a portion of his ancestral property to Shaheen Maishan. Although the land was previously measured and handed over through local arbitration, Shaheen recently claimed he is owed additional land. Centering on this claim, he fenced off the main access route and the courtyard between Mohan Maishan's living quarters.Allegations indicate that the victimized family and their caretaker are being threatened with death for protesting the blockade. However, the accused Shaheen Maishan denied the allegations, claiming he has not yet fully received his measured land and erected the fence based on instructions from the seller, Matin. Meanwhile, upon receiving the news, the Chandina police station's sub-inspector inspected the spot and initiated steps to resolve the issue by summoning the main seller for a discussion between both parties. Nevertheless, public discontent persists as the fence remains in place despite the police's presence, and the victimized family has urged prompt administrative intervention to escape their confinement.
