Oishi Bangla Literary Conference 2025 Held

The Oishee Bangla National Literary Conference-2025 was held under the slogan, “In a country where talent is not appreciated, talent does not grow in that country.”

On Saturday afternoon, the national newspaper Dainik Oishee Bangla organized the Literary Conference at the Bishwa Sahitya Kendra in the capital. The literary conference, held in anticipation of the language month of February, turned into a gathering with the presence of writers, literary figures, poets, artists and intellectuals.

The event was presided over by Sufi A.R.M. Muhiuddin Khan Faruki, publisher and editor of Dainik Oishee Bangla, and National Film Award and Ekushey Padak recipient artist Syed Abdul Hadi was present as the chief guest. The conference was inaugurated by poet and researcher and literary editor of the newspaper, Dr. S. M. Shahnur. The main discussant was environmental scientist Dr. Jahangir Alam Rustom. Former Minister of Religion and Water Resources, BLDP Chairman M Nazim Uddin Al Azad, President of All Broadcasters Community-ABC Chowdhury Daulat Md. Jafri, Founder of the Self-Told Story Foundation Iqbal Bahar Zahid, President of Progressive Literature Association Veteran Muktijoddha Ziaul Haque and others spoke.

Three people received the ‘Oishee Bangla Literature Award’ introduced on the occasion of the Oishee Bangla National Literature Conference-2025. Poet and multi-dimensional writer Mohammad Sajjad Hossain Jamal won the first place, poet, novelist and children’s writer Tahmina Akhter Pata won the second place and poet and writer Saida Aziz Chowdhury won the third place.
