Buetians stand by the family of Abu Saeed, a brilliant student of English Department of Begum Rokeya University, who was killed in a clash with the police and Chhatra League in Rangpur during the quota reform movement. With their help, more than 10.5 million taka has already been found.

According to the Buetians page, 10 lakh 50 thousand 243 Tk has been collected with the help of Abu Saeed’s family till 10:30 pm on Wednesday. Out of this, 7 lakh 14 thousand 736 taka has been deposited in Bikash, 1 lakh 68 thousand 705 taka in cash, 63 thousand 923 taka in Rocket, 93 thousand 880 taka in bank and another 9 thousand taka has been deposited through PayPal.

It has also been informed that this money will be spent on the needs of Abu Saeed’s family. That said, we have contacted Abu Saeed’s family and heard from them briefly about their needs and after hearing everything we have come up with a draft decision.

1/ To repair the house of Abu Saeed’s family.

2/ Buy cows.

3/ Provision of land and appurtenances (as father is a farmer).

4/ Arranging medical treatment of his brother.

A Buetian team will go today to meet Abu Saeed’s family in Pirganj, Rangpur. It is also hoped that after going there and discussing, they will try to take the matter that best meets their needs.
