Farooq Ahmed has been elected as the new president of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) after the resignation of Nazmul Hasan Papon. It was reported that he was elected as the president by a vote of BCB directors.
Meanwhile, BCB president Papon resigned. It is known that he has sent his resignation letter through e-mail.
Sources said that an emergency meeting of the Board of Directors has been called today at the policy-making stage of the Board. He resigned by participating online in the meeting held in the conference room of the Ministry of Youth and Sports located at the Secretariat. His resignation was unanimously accepted.
Besides, Jalal Yunus resigned from the post of BCB director on Tuesday. He was the National Sports Council nominated Director at BCB.
