What Shakib Khan said about the quota movement

When the entire country is divided between sides in the ongoing quota reform movement, people from almost all walks of life are expressing their reactions on social media.

 

Especially on Tuesday (July 16) many students were injured and seven people were killed in clashes in different parts of the country, people from all walks of life are shocked. Shakib Khan, the top hero of the Dhaka film, has also been overwhelmed by that disappointment. The superstar of the country’s film industry, Shakib Khan, spoke about this ongoing violence in the quota reform movement along with other stars.

On Wednesday (July 17), Shakib made a post on Facebook about the matter. In that post, referring to the violence in the ongoing movement, the actor wrote, ‘Bangladesh of my life cannot be bloody like this. No one’s parents’ chest can be empty like this.

 

Requesting the parents, Shakib Khan writes, ‘I request you who are at the level of parents, talk to the protesting students now and find a logical solution to this crisis. We want an end to all kinds of conflict. Incidentally, the ongoing quota reform movement turned violent on Tuesday. Seven people died in clashes at different places. Hundreds of agitating students and Chhatra League leaders were injured.

 

In this situation, considering the safety of the students, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has directed the closure of the educational programs of all public and private universities and affiliated colleges for an indefinite period. At the same time, the National University has also announced the closure of all its colleges.
