Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has expelled Gazi Nazrul Islam, the Member of Parliament representing Satkhira-4, following an internal organizational investigation into allegations of moral misconduct.According to the party, the investigation examined allegations that had been reported by various media outlets and found evidence supporting claims of moral misconduct. Based on these findings, the Central Executive Council decided to expel Gazi Nazrul Islam from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami under Article 62 of the party's constitution.The party also resolved to immediately inform the Bangladesh Election Commission of its decision.The decision was taken during an emergency meeting of the party's Central Executive Council held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday (July 22) at the official residence of the Leader of the Opposition on Minto Road in Dhaka.The meeting was chaired by Jamaat Ameer and Leader of the Opposition Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and attended by members of the party's Central Executive Council.The development was announced in an official statement signed by Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Assistant Secretary General and Secretary of the Central Publicity and Media Department of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
