God’s help is found in hard work

Exams mean panic and anxiety. When the exam comes, as the examinees are in extreme panic, so are their parents in deep anxiety. If we thought a little about the trials of the hereafter that we are involved in every day, then both our world and the hereafter would be happy. Whether the test is academic or life, the believer has something to do during the test.

One of them is full trust in Allah. Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Qur’an, “Whoever trusts in Allah, Allah is sufficient for him.” (Sura: Talaq, verse: 3)

Relying on Allah Ta’ala does not mean sitting to pass the exam without taking furniture and materials or studying. Because Allah Ta’ala has made the world the center of Darul furniture and materials.

Then it is necessary to accept furniture or materials. On the authority of Ibn Abbas (R.A), he said, People used to go for Hajj but did not bring Patheya with them. Abu Mas’ud said, “Some people of Yemen used to go to Hajj but did not bring Pathey and they used to say that we have put our trust in Allah.” But after reaching Makkah they were forced to beg.

For this reason, Almighty Allah revealed, “You will take the path with you on the journey of Hajj, and know that piety is the best path.” (Abu Dawud, Hadith: 1730)

If you want to succeed in the exams of the world, you have to fully prepare for the exams by trusting in Allah. Hard work is important. Because God often gives success to people according to their hard work and efforts. It is said in the Holy Qur’an, “And for all there is a dignity according to their deeds.” And may Allah give them the full reward of their deeds. And they will not be wronged.’ (Surah: Al-Ahkaf, verse: 19)

Before going out to take part in the exam, one can seek help from Almighty Allah by reading two rakats of Salatul Hajat. Because when Rasool (pbuh) was faced with difficult problems, he used to pray ‘Salatul Hajat’ or prayer of need. (Abu Dawud, Hadith: 1319)

It is not necessary to recite any specific surah to read it, but in general one should pray two rakat nafal prayers presenting one’s needs to Almighty Allah and asking for His help.

Start the test by saying Bismillah. Allah’s mercy will be found in it. Many people get restless during exams and rush too much. As a result, many times they give wrong answers. Islam does not like haste, because it is the practice of Satan.

Also, when the exam starts, slowly understand the questions and write the answers. Can’t be restless and hasty. Rasulullah (s.a.w.) said, “Slowness is from Allah Ta’ala and haste is from Satan.” (Sunan Bayhaqi, Hadith: 20767).

A dua can be made in the mind to seek the help of Almighty Allah in giving the correct answer in the exam. Like ‘Rabbi Zidni Ilma’. If no answer is remembered, then this supplication may be recited—pronounced: ‘Rabbisharhali sadri, wa yassirli amri, wahlul ukdatam min lisani, yafkahu kawli.’ It means: ‘He said, O my Lord, enlarge my chest. And make my job easier. And remove the stuttering of my tongue, so that they may understand my words. This dua can be recited more frequently during the oral exam.

Besides, another supplication is heard in the mouth of the rabbis, ‘Rabbi Yassir, wa la tuassir, wa tammim alayna bil khair.’ It means: O my Lord, make it easy, do not make it difficult, and grant tawfiq to end with goodness.

May Allah Almighty grant everyone good results in the exam.
