Qur’an Recitation and Distribution in Hatiya Praying for Khaleda Zia’s Recovery

A Qur’an distribution program, Khatme Qur’an and special prayer gathering has been held in the island upazila of Hatiya, Noakhali, seeking the quick recovery, long life, and well-being of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

On Sunday (30 November) afternoon, the program was organized at the residence of Engineer Tanvir Uddin Rajib, member of Noakhali District BNP, in Ochkhali of the upazila. The event was arranged under the banner of Hatiya Upazila BNP and Hatiya Municipality BNP along with their affiliated organizations.

The Qur’an distribution ceremony was presided over by former president of Hatiya Upazila BNP, Kamal Uddin Chowdhury, with Engineer Tanvir Uddin Rajib, member of Noakhali District BNP, present as the chief guest.

Among those who participated in the special prayer for Begum Khaleda Zia’s recovery were: former president of Hatiya Municipality BNP Alhaj Kazi Maulana Abdur Rahim, former vice-president of Hatiya Upazila BNP Mosleh Uddin Nizam Chowdhury, former general secretary of Hatiya Municipality BNP Alauddin Alo, former organizational secretary of Hatiya Upazila BNP Iqbal Uddin Rashed, former organizational secretary of Hatiya Municipality BNP Abul Kashem, and leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated bodies.

A special munajat was conducted seeking Begum Khaleda Zia’s good health, recovery from illness, and long life.

Speaking as the chief guest, Engineer Tanvir Uddin Rajib, member of Noakhali District BNP and former general secretary of Hatiya Upazila BNP, said that Begum Khaleda Zia has always worked for the welfare of the country and its people. She is the symbol of democracy in Bangladesh. “Today she is ill. Her recovery is the expectation of people from all walks of life. Hence, this prayer gathering has been arranged for her quick recovery,”
