Kamalnagar Upazila BNP pays tribute on Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day

Leaders and activists of Kamalnagar Upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations of Lakshmipur district celebrated Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day with due dignity.

On Saturday (February 21), at 12:01 am, former MP of Lakshmipur-4 parliamentary constituency and central leader of BNP, Janneta A.B.M. Ashraf Uddin Nijan, placed a wreath at the Upazila Shaheed Minar.

In the first hour of February 21, a large number of leaders and activists of Kamalnagar Upazila BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal and all its affiliated and associate organizations gathered at the premises of the local Shaheed Minar. They paid their deepest respect to the memory of the heroic martyrs of the language movement and stood in silence for a while.

After paying their respects, the leaders present said, "The language movement of Bayanna was the seed of our freedom movement. Under the guidance of public leader A.B.M. Ashraf Uddin Nijan, we are determined to fight for the restoration of democracy and voting rights as well as to protect the dignity of the native culture and language."

Present were:

Upazila BNP President Nurul Huda Chowdhury, General Secretary MA Didar, top leaders of the associate organizations, and grassroots workers. After paying tribute, special prayers and prayers were offered seeking the forgiveness of the souls of the martyrs.
