IRGC Claims to Have Shot Down a U.S. Warplane

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that a U.S. F-15E Strike Fighter was shot down near the country’s southwestern border. On Thursday (March 5), Al Jazeera reported the news, citing Iran’s semi-official news agency Tasnim News Agency.

According to the report, the IRGC said that an attack was carried out targeting a U.S. F-15E Strike Fighter, which resulted in the aircraft being destroyed. However, no detailed information has been provided about exactly when the incident took place.

Meanwhile, the U.S. military has denied the claim that one of its warplanes was shot down.

In a post on X, United States Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that reports circulating on social media claiming that a U.S. F-15E warplane crashed in Iran early Wednesday (March 4) are completely baseless.
