In a special operation conducted over the last 24 hours, Chandina Thana Police arrested five individuals, including four professional thieves. The information was confirmed through a press release issued by the police on Monday (April 6).The suspects arrested in the theft cases have been identified as Md. Safiullah (29) and Tuhin Ahmed (20) from Barkait village in Chandina; Md. Russel Mia (38) from Konagaon, Sunamganj (currently residing in Bamnikhola, Chandina); and Md. Swapan Mia (36) from Ayyubpur, Bancharampur (currently residing in the same area).According to police sources, specific theft cases were filed against them, leading to their arrest and subsequent production before the learned court following due legal process. In the same drive, Khorshed Alam (50), a resident of Belashwar in Chandina Municipality, was also arrested in a regular case and sent to court. Police stated that such special operations will continue to maintain law and order in the area.
