A polling officer named Jannatul Ferdous has died after falling ill while on duty for the Jahangirnagar University Central Student Union (JACSU) election.
He died on the way to Savar ENAM Medical College on Friday (September 12) morning.
Associate Professor Shamim Reza, President of the Fine Arts Department of JA, confirmed the matter.
The deceased Jannatul Ferdous was an assistant professor in the Fine Arts Department of Jahangirnagar University. He was serving as a polling officer in the JACSU election.
It is learned that Jannatul Ferdous had come to the Senate in the morning to participate in vote counting activities in the JACSU election. At that time, he suddenly fell ill. He later died on the way to the hospital.
