No one can suppress the youth: Chief Advisor

The Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, said that when the youth of a country are active, no obstacle can hold them back.

He said this at the Youth Volunteer Award ceremony at the Chief Advisor's office in Tejgaon in the capital on Monday (September 15). Earlier, the Head of the Interim Government presented the Youth Award-2025 to 12 youth for their contributions to the country's development in various fields. It was also announced at the press conference earlier that the awardees will receive a cash prize of one lakh taka or a prize bond, a crest of honor and a certificate. Those who received the award - Three people received the award for their outstanding contribution to youth development and employment. Suraiya Farhana Reshma of Bogra, Md. Akkach Khan of Magura and Md. Zakir Hossain of Noakhali. Md. Khaled Saifullah of Jhalakathi and Md. Shahadat Hossain of Gaibandha received the award for their outstanding contribution to education, science, information technology and engineering. This time, Md. Dwip Mahbub of Pabna and Hasan Sheikh of Rajshahi received awards for patriotism, heroism and courage. In addition, Md. Jamal Hossain of Lalmonirhat, Nurul Absar of Cox's Bazar and Md. Muhin (Mohana) of Rajshahi were awarded for exemplary service to the elderly/extraordinary contribution to social welfare. Afaida Khandaker of Satkhira and Uchai Mong Marma (Dhungri Headman) of Bandarban received awards for significant contribution to sports, arts and culture. Earlier, at a press conference on the occasion of the award presentation at the secretariat on Sunday (September 14), Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Md. Mahbub-ul-Alam said that 12 people will be given the 'Youth Volunteer Award-2025' in five categories for their contribution to the social field as per the 'Youth Welfare Fund Act, 2016'.
