Fire at Kadamtali High-Rise, 11 People Rescued

A fire broke out in a residential high-rise in Dhaka’s Kadamtali area early Friday morning, prompting a swift response from the Fire Service.The blaze started around 2:00 AM on the 10th floor of the building. Firefighters from Keraniganj and nearby stations arrived within 15 minutes and began battling the flames. After more than an hour of effort, the fire was brought under control by 2:45 AM and completely extinguished by 3:30 AM.According to Hasan Ul Alam, Senior Station Officer of the Keraniganj Fire Service, the fire caused damages estimated at around Tk 10 lakh. He also confirmed that 11 people were safely rescued during the operation.The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation. However, some residents believe it may have been triggered by an air conditioner explosion.Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
