Shariful M. Khan, who was born in Bangladesh, has been promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in the US military.
US President Donald Trump nominated US Air Force officer Shariful Khan for promotion to the ranks of Major General and Brigadier General last June.
Information about Shariful Khan's promotion was available from the US Department of Defense website.
A notice on the website on June 13 said that President Trump had nominated 15 military officers for promotion to the rank of Major General and 55 military officers for promotion to the rank of Brigadier General.
In addition, Shariful M. Khan's inauguration ceremony in his new position was held on August 20, which was announced by former US Ambassador M. Osman Siddique in a post on social media.
According to information available from the US Air Force website, Brigadier General Shariful M. Khan is serving as the staff director of the 'Golden Dome for America'.
It is known that Shariful M. Khan received his commission from the United States Air Force Academy in 1997. As a satellite operator, he gained experience working with space control, space systems, and launch systems.
