7 Bangladeshis killed in road accident in Oman

Seven Bangladeshis have been killed in a road accident in Oman. The accident occurred on Wednesday (October 8) afternoon local time.

All the deceased hail from Sarikait Union in Sandwip Upazila of Chittagong. Five of them have been identified. They are Bablu, Shahabuddin, Amin Sawdagar, Arju and Rocky. The bodies are currently kept at the Dukum Hospital morgue.

The vehicle carrying the expatriates met with an accident while returning from fishing in the Dukum Sidra area, witnesses said.

It is worth noting that Oman is one of the destinations for manpower export from Bangladesh. A large number of Bangladeshis work there. After Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, the country is an important part of Bangladesh's labor market.
