BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has said that a crisis is being created by adding one condition after another on the path of democracy. He said that there is a danger of surrendering to undemocratic forces, and concerted efforts are being made to prevent BNP's victory.He said these things at a program organized at a hotel in Gulshan in the capital on Sunday (November 2) evening.Tarique Rahman said, "BNP has been the victim of many conspiracies in the past. The corrupt established a dictatorship in the country to prevent BNP's victory. In the last 15 years, they have completely destroyed the electoral system. Various propaganda and tactics are still being used to prevent BNP's victory."He also said, "I believe that if people who believe in the ideals of nationalism are united, no conspiracy can separate BNP from the people."Regarding the doubts in the public mind about the elections, Tarique Rahman said, "Many are raising questions about whether the elections will be held on time or not. But it shouldn't have happened. Doubts about the election are putting the path to democracy in crisis. As a responsible political party, BNP has made maximum concessions to protect national unity from the beginning, yet new conditions are being imposed constantly. The consequences of this could be dire—everyone should be careful about that.
