Md. Tajul Islam, who is a leader of the Jubo Dal, attended his father's funeral under police guard after being released on parole in Rajbari.He attended his father's funeral at his home in Dattapara village of Khankhanapur union in Sadar upazila on Monday (November 24) afternoon.Tajul Islam, who was released on parole, is the general secretary of the Khankhanapur union Jubo Dal. His father's name is Momin Patwari. Tajul is in jail in a weapons case.It is learned that Tajul's father Momin Patwari died on Sunday (November 23) night. The family applied to the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate for parole to see their father one last time and attend the funeral. Later, with the permission of the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Sultana Akhtar, Tajul attended his father's funeral under police guard.Rajbari Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahamudur Rahman said that based on the family's request, he was taken to his father's funeral in the afternoon under police security with the permission of Rajbari Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Sultana Akhter. After the funeral, the police handed him over to the prison authorities.It is worth noting that on November 9, members of the joint force conducted a raid in Goalanda More and Khankhanapur Dattapara villages of the upazila and arrested Tajul Islam and Akash Molla. Later, based on the information provided by them, a country-made pistol, six bullets of a one-shooter gun, two bullets of a pistol and a mobile phone were recovered. Later, a weapons case was registered at Sadar Police Station and Tajul is in the district jail in that case.
