Hasina's son Joy is now facing trial in the tribunal

Sheikh Hasina's son Sajeeb Wazed Joy is going to face trial this time on charges of aiding and abetting murders by shutting down the internet during the July coup.

This information has been learned from the International Crimes Tribunal.

The prosecution says that during the movement, the internet was shut down and organized murders were supported. The investigation against Sheikh Hasina's Information and Communication Technology Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy and State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak on this charge has been completed.

There have been allegations of a sudden shutdown of internet services during the upcoming movement. Mobile internet was shut down from midnight on July 17 to July 28. In addition, Facebook, WhatsApp and other internet-based communication media were shut down for 13 days, which returned to normal from noon on August 5.

In addition, the prosecution is going to file a formal complaint against Anisul Haque and Salman F. Rahman in another case. Evidence has been found against these two for advising all the killings, including imposing a curfew to suppress the movement and eliminating the protesters.

If all goes well, the prosecution will file formal charges against Joy and Palak, and Anisul and Salman, in the two cases with the tribunal on Thursday or next week.
