The role of the clerical community in achieving human rights and democratic movements in Bangladesh at a critical juncture is immense. The country cannot move forward by ignoring them or leaving them behind.
Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives of the interim government, said these things.
Yesterday, he spoke as the chief guest at the 'International Qiraat Conference' organized by Jamia Islamia Darul Haq Madrasa at Hazaribagh Park in the capital on the occasion of the handing over of Ifta and Hifz students.
The advisor also said that in the service of religion, we always want to move forward with the clerical community by our side in any initiative, including social and moral leadership. He also emphasized the importance of creating a moral, unity and spiritual environment in the society and organizing Qiraat conferences across the country to turn the youth towards the Quran. In addition, he called for working together for overall development, including road and environmental problems in the Hazaribagh area.
The advisor presented turbans to students who completed Ifta and Hifz at the Qiraat conference.
