Major Sadiq's wife Sumaiya Zafarin has been arrested in a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act of Gulshan Police Station.This information was given in a press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Wednesday (December 17).It said that in order to ensure the overall security of former Prime Minister and Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. AKM Shamsul Islam has been given the responsibility of 'Chief Security Officer'.Incidentally, Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. AKM Shamsul Islam was previously employed as the Chief Coordinator of the BNP Chairperson's security team.Meanwhile, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will return to Dhaka from London on Christmas Day on December 25 after a long period of almost seventeen years. The BNP Secretary General made this statement after a meeting of the party's standing committee.
