The body of Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi, a frontline fighter of the July Uprising and spokesperson of the Inquilab Manch, will return home from Singapore on Friday (December 19) evening. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Singapore around 10:45 pm on Thursday (December 18).
Around 1:30 am, the Inquilab Manch informed that a commercial flight of Bangladesh Biman will leave for Dhaka at 3:50 pm Singapore local time on Friday with the body of Shaheed Osman Hadi. The flight is scheduled to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 6:05 pm.
Earlier, the first funeral of Shaheed Osman Hadi will be held at the historic The Angulia Mosque in Singapore at 10 am. His second funeral in Bangladesh will be held at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital after Zohr tomorrow, Saturday (December 20). The Inqilab Mancha has called on the countrymen to participate in this funeral.
It is worth noting that on December 12, Osman Hadi was seriously injured in a gunshot wound to the head by terrorists during an election campaign in Purana Paltan in the capital. After receiving primary treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Evercare Hospital, he was taken to Singapore for advanced treatment on Monday (December 15). He breathed his last while undergoing treatment there at around 9:45 pm on Thursday (December 18).
Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor to the interim government, expressed deep sorrow over the death of Osman Hadi. A state mourning has been declared across the country tomorrow, Saturday (December 20).
