The moon marking the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1447 Hijri has been sighted in the sky of Bangladesh. Therefore, devout Muslims across the country will begin fasting from the last part of tonight (Wednesday night).
Meanwhile, popular Islamic scholar Shaykh Ahmadullah has shared a message welcoming the month of Ramadan.
In a post on his verified Facebook page, he said, “With the light of the new moon begins the long-awaited month in the life of believers — the holy month of Ramadan. Ahlan wa Sahlan, Shahru Ramadan (Welcome, O Month of Ramadan).”
Shaykh Ahmadullah further said, “Let us spend every moment of this month in worship. Let us illuminate our hearts with the light of Taqwa (God-consciousness) and the Qur’an.”
At the end of his post, he prayed, “May Almighty Allah grant us all the ability to understand the importance of Ramadan and perform more righteous deeds.
