The monthly general meeting of the Chandina Upazila Parishad in Cumilla was held with great enthusiasm. The meeting took place on Tuesday morning (February 24, 2026) at the Upazila Parishad auditorium. Atikul Alam Shaon, the Member of Parliament (MP) elected from Chandina, was present as the chief guest.Presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Ashraful Haque, the meeting included detailed discussions on the overall development activities of the upazila, administrative operations, the law and order situation, and the progress of ongoing projects across various departments. In his speech as the chief guest, MP Atikul Alam Shaon stated, “To successfully implement the overall development and public welfare activities of Chandina, the administration and public representatives must work together in a coordinated manner.” He further added that everyone must remain diligent in ensuring that the benefits of government development reach every household. He also urged everyone to stand by the helpless and poor people of society.Following the discussion, cash assistance was distributed among the helpless and underprivileged people from various areas of the upazila. The chief guest, along with other officials present, handed over the financial aid to the beneficiaries.Special guests at the event included Assistant Commissioner (Land) Faisal Al Nur, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandina Police Station Atikur Rahman, and Upazila Family Planning Officer Ariful Islam. Additionally, officials and employees from various departments of the Upazila Parishad attended the meeting. Finally, the meeting concluded with an emphasis on mutual cooperation and coordination to make the upazila's development activities more dynamic and people-oriented.
