Iran will announce the name of its new Supreme Leader within the next 24 hours. Last week, the country's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, was killed in a joint attack by the United States and Israel. Following this, the name of his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, has been mentioned as a possible successor. However, Iran is set to officially announce the name of the new top leader soon.
According to the news outlet Al Jazeera, around midnight Bangladesh time on Sunday, Iran’s news agency Fars News Agency reported that the Assembly of Experts will hold a meeting to select the new Supreme Leader.
A member of the Assembly of Experts, Hossein Mozaffari, said, “With divine assistance, another meeting will be held within the next 24 hours. Until then, please refrain from spreading any rumors about this matter.”
