Two New Members Added to the Chandpur District Sports Association Ad-hoc Committee

The number of members of the Chandpur District Sports Association Ad Hoc Committee has been increased by the decision of the National Sports Council. 02 (two) new sports-related persons have been included in this committee.

In accordance with the relevant constitution of the local sports organization mentioned in Section 2 (15) of the National Sports Council Act, 2018, the number of members of the Chandpur District District Sports Association has been increased by 02 to 09 (nine) members, as mentioned in Sections 2 (4) and 8 of the National Sports Council Act, 2018, and the Honorable Chairman of the Council has kindly approved the increase in the number of members of the Chandpur District District Sports Association to 09 (nine) members. In this, the Deputy Commissioner will serve as the convener and the District Sports Officer will serve as the member secretary.

The members of the approved ad hoc committee are:

1. Deputy Commissioner, Chandpur – (Convenor) 2. Mr. Md. Shawkat Hossain – Sportsperson (Sports Fan) 3. Mr. Md. Joynal Abedin – Sportsperson (Former Player) 4. Mr. Syed Shamim Akhtar Farooqui – Sportsperson (Coach) 5. (New Member) Mr. Mohammad Aslam Hossain – Sportsperson (Cricket Bowling Coach) 6. (New Member) Mr. Taskin Ahmed Riyad – Sportsperson (Cricketer) 7. Mr. Md. Mohiuddin – (Student Representative) 8. Mr. Muhammad Salahuddin Khan – (Sports Journalist) 9. District Sports Officer, Chandpur – (Member Secretary)

A Step Forward in Sports Development

With the expansion of its membership, the sports activities in Chandpur are expected to gain further momentum. The committee is set to play a vital role in promoting local sports, nurturing talented athletes, encouraging women’s participation in sports, and engaging the youth through sporting activities.
