With the 13th National Parliamentary Election approaching, the electoral atmosphere in the Cumilla-7 (Chandina) constituency is reaching its peak. Candidates are busy with last-minute campaigns and public outreach. As part of this, a massive yard meeting (Uthan Baithak) was held today, February 5, at the Maha Harang Government Primary School ground in support of independent candidate Atikul Alam Shawon and his 'Kols' (Pitcher) symbol.
From the beginning of the event, supporters of Atikul Alam Shawon from various parts of the constituency arrived at the venue in small processions. The school premises buzzed with slogans in favor of the 'Kols' symbol, and the presence of general voters was remarkably high.
Addressing the meeting, prominent social worker and dedicated supporter Haji Nurul Islam provided directional guidance to the activists. He stated, "We must work together, forgetting all differences, to ensure the victory of Atikul Alam Shawon. There is no scope to sit idle during these final moments before the election. Instead, every activist must go door-to-door with the message of the 'Kols' symbol and ask for votes." He also emphasized that there is no alternative to the victory of the 'Kols' symbol to build a beautiful and prosperous Chandina.
Other speakers at the event expressed their belief that general voters would choose Atikul Alam Shawon for the sake of local development and securing their rights. This last-minute campaign has sparked new enthusiasm among the candidate and his supporters.
