In the 13th National Parliamentary Election held on February 12, he secured an unprecedented victory by defeating experienced and heavyweight candidates by a significant margin. His win has sparked a wave of joy across the Upazila, igniting new hope among the general public.According to the analysis of the election results, independent candidate Atikul Alam Shaon (Kols/Pitcher symbol) won the Cumilla-7 seat by a margin of 42,894 votes. He polled 90,819 votes, while his nearest rival, Redwan Ahmed of the BNP (Sheaf of Paddy symbol), received 47,925 votes. General voters believe this is not just an individual’s victory, but a triumph for the rights of the common people of Chandina and their long-standing desire for change.
