Global pop sensation Shakira has unveiled a teaser for her upcoming official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Released on Thursday, the short video was filmed at Rio de Janeiro’s iconic Maracanã Stadium, a historic venue that has hosted countless landmark football events.

Shakira, who famously performed the 2010 World Cup anthem "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)," announced the new track, titled "Dai Dai," via Instagram. In the 67-second clip, she stands on the Maracanã pitch, holding the official match ball for the 2026 tournament-the "Trionda" while performing a snippet of the song in English. The video showcases dancers in team colors from nations like the United States and Colombia.

Produced in collaboration with Nigerian artist Burna Boy, "Dai Dai" is set for official release on May 14. The FIFA World Cup’s official social media also shared the clip, which concludes with the slogan, "We’re ready!"

Shakira’s ties to the World Cup are well-documented, having delivered performances during the 2006 and 2014 tournaments, in addition to the global success of "Waka Waka." Her latest performance in Rio de Janeiro, where she drew over two million fans to a free concert at Copacabana Beach, only adds to her legacy as a World Cup icon.
