Young Runner Azmir Hasan Covers 21 Kilometers from Chandpur Government College to HaimcharWith the goal of testing his physical endurance while promoting health awareness and an anti-drug message, young runner Azmir Hasan from Haimchar Upazila, Chandpur has taken an inspiring initiative.On Friday, he began his run at 5:20 AM from the gate of Chandpur Government College and reached the Haimchar Upazila Parishad premises in Algi Bazar at 7:30 AM, completing a continuous 21-kilometer journey in approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes.Azmir Hasan said that he has previously participated in several half-marathons and is an active member of a number of running communities in Chandpur, where he trains regularly.He also shared that he recently completed his Master's final-year examinations at Chandpur Government College, including his viva voce, which concluded the previous day.After completing the run, Azmir Hasan said: "There is no better alternative to running for maintaining good health and staying away from drugs. Drug abuse has become a serious social problem. I believe that those who run regularly after the Fajr prayer can not only improve their own health but also inspire people around them to become health-conscious. Let us stay away from drugs and embrace a healthy lifestyle."His initiative has been widely appreciated by local residents. Many believe that such efforts can inspire young people to engage in regular physical exercise, promote healthy living, and raise awareness against drug abuse in society.
