National Citizens Party (NCP) Central Chief Organizer (South) Hasnat Abdullah said, "We welcome those who have been denied nominations from BNP, but believe in Bangladeshism and want to take responsibility for the reconstruction of Bangladesh after 24 years, to the NCP. It is not important who wins or loses, but our main goal is to win the election system."
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the Chittagong Metropolitan, North and South District Coordination Meeting held at the Chittagong Engineers Institute Auditorium on Wednesday (November 5).
Hasnat Abdullah said, "We are fighting against a mafia system that does not hesitate to shoot and kill even people from its own party on the streets. Those who do not want to participate in the politics of bullets should not waste their chances."
He also said, "People are in fear that they will be able to vote or not. We say, no one can hinder the victory of our democracy. Those who have chosen bullets instead of ballots will be tried." Legal action will be taken against them after the government is formed.
Regarding seat sharing, Hasnat Abdullah said, "If you want to do politics, you have to do politics, if you want to do journalism, you have to do journalism. Political parties should not be tarnished through the media."
He also said, "NCP does not believe in any alliance, but if anyone wants to come for the purpose of reform, we will include them. But our goal is not to tarnish the electoral system by sharing parliamentary seats. Our parliament is the highway, power is the people, and political integrity is our main investment."
The meeting was chaired by Mir Arshadul Haque, the chief coordinator of Chittagong Metropolitan NCP, and the party's divisional organizing secretary ASM Shujauddin.
