BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman said, those who have seen other political parties, now look at us - the people of the country saw them in 1971. How they killed millions of people and robbed the honor of mothers and sisters.He said this at the closing ceremony of the 'BNP's Plan for Building the Country' program at the Krishibid Institute auditorium in Khamarbari in the capital on Sunday (December 7) afternoon.He also said that corruption and law and order must be reined in the country at any cost. If these two issues are not successful, all plans for women, agriculture and the health sector will collapse. He also commented that it is only possible for BNP to rein in corruption.The BNP Acting Chairman said that some people are now criticizing BNP like a dictator. However, the BNP government had two of their people. The fact that those two remained in the government until the last day proves that Khaleda Zia's position against any corruption is clear. Tarique Rahman also claimed that none of the allegations raised against BNP have been proven in court.Regarding the formation of a national government, he said, "On the day the dictatorship fell, Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul wanted to know whether a national government would be formed or not. On that day, we said, we will go to the people, we will take the people's verdict into account. Because we believe that the people are the source of our power, so we will go and stand before the people." The BNP acting chairman also said that BNP is expecting an election in the next two months.
