Raju Ahmed, a young entrepreneur from Sylhet, first became interested in freelancing and outsourcing while studying in higher secondary school. With a dream of building an independent career through technology, he began developing his skills through various online training programs, international marketplace guidelines, and professional courses in Digital Marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Step by step, he entered the global freelancing industry and gradually built his own identity.
In late 2017, Raju started working on the international marketplace Fiverr. Although his journey began with small projects, his dedication, consistency, and quality of work quickly helped him gain the trust of international clients. Over time, he established himself as a successful professional in the digital marketing sector.
One particular experience became a turning point in his life. During an interview for a government-supported digital marketing training program, he was told that he might not succeed in digital marketing and should focus on web-related work instead. Rather than discouraging him, those words motivated him to prove himself in the very field he was doubted in.
Today, in 2026, Raju Ahmed has become a recognized name in Bangladesh’s freelancing industry. He now earns around 500,000 BDT per month through freelancing and digital marketing. His company currently employs around 50 team members who work with international clients on various digital projects.
Alongside building his own career, Raju has also focused on creating opportunities for others. More than 500 young people have learned professional freelancing skills completely free through his team and are now working successfully on different marketplaces at home and abroad. Many of them have even started their own agencies and training centers, helping new freelancers build careers of their own.
In addition, over 5,000 students have completed paid online and offline courses from his institution. Skilled learners are also offered contractual job opportunities within his company, giving them practical industry experience and a pathway to sustainable income. For his contribution to freelancing and digital entrepreneurship, Raju Ahmed has received several national awards and recognitions.
Speaking about the future of freelancing in 2026, Raju believes the sector still holds enormous opportunities for newcomers.
The industry has changed, and the nature of work is evolving every day. Today, the demand is not only for basic skills but for smart skills such as AI, digital marketing, automation, branding, and content strategy. Those who are willing to learn, adapt, and stay consistent can still build a very successful career in freelancing.
He further added,
Freelancing is no longer just a way to earn money individually; it has become a powerful sector for creating employment opportunities. Bangladeshi youth have the potential to compete globally and create a strong impact through their skills.
Raju Ahmed’s story stands as an example of how determination, continuous learning, and self-belief can transform a simple dream into remarkable success
