The Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested former Member of Parliament for the Jamalpur-1 constituency and President of the Bakshiganj Upazila Awami League, Nur Mohammad, from a residence in the capital's Gulshan area.The information was disclosed in a DMP press release issued today.According to the press release, Nur Mohammad is an accused in a case filed under the Explosive Substances Act in Jamalpur district. He is also a suspect in a case filed over a procession and a cocktail explosion that took place in the Mohakhali Bus Terminal area of the capital on June 18.The press release added that necessary legal proceedings against the accused are underway./bss
