In a recent special drive conducted by Chandina Thana Police over the last 24 hours, a total of 10 suspects have been arrested. The detainees include individuals involved in the production of pornography and sexual harassment, as well as wanted fugitives and professional thieves.Among those arrested, Md. Rubel and Md. Jamal from the Mohichail area were taken into custody on charges of producing and storing pornography, as well as threatening individuals and engaging in sexual harassment. Furthermore, six suspects with court-issued (CR) warrants were taken into police custody: Md. Kawsar, Kabir Hossain, Md. Shohag, and Md. Rabbi from Gallai; Md. Rony from Belashwar; and Md. Idris from Dotala. During the operation, the police also managed to arrest a professional thief named Habibur Rahman from Panipara village. Additionally, another individual, Md. Sulaiman, was detained under Section 34 of the Police Act.Following the operation, all 10 arrested individuals were produced before the court under proper police escort today, May 8, 2026. Authorities stated that such special operations by the police will continue to ensure public safety.
