US President Donald Trump has expressed his expectation of meeting Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in person in the near future.Trump conveyed his interest in such a meeting in a letter sent to the prime minister on Monday (August 31). The information was confirmed by Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman.In the letter, Trump said he firmly believes that Bangladesh and its people have a promising future under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, despite the challenges the country has faced in recent times. He also conveyed his warm greetings and goodwill to the people of Bangladesh.The US president also thanked Prime Minister Tarique Rahman for Bangladesh’s decision to purchase Boeing aircraft from the United States.Trump assured that Boeing would not disappoint Bangladesh. He also said he would remember the prime minister’s personal attention to the matter.
