The government has transferred and posted 21 senior officers of the Bangladesh Civil Service (Police) cadre, including officials holding the ranks of Additional Inspector General (Additional IG), Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Additional Deputy Inspector General (Additional DIG), and Superintendent of Police (SP).The information was disclosed in a notification issued on Monday by the Police-1 Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs.According to the notification, newly promoted Additional IG Md. Mushfekur Rahman has been posted to the Police Headquarters. Barrister Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, Director (DIG) of the National Security Intelligence (NSI), has also been promoted and appointed as Additional IG of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).DIG Md. Moniruzzaman has been posted as Additional IG of Police Telecom, while newly promoted Additional Director General (DIG) of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Faruk Ahmed has been appointed as Additional IG of the Highway Police.At the DIG level, Proloy Chisim has been posted to the Police Training Centre (PTC) in Noakhali, Mia Masud Karim to the FDMN Office of the Armed Police Battalion (APBN), Mohammad Osman Gani to PTC Rangpur, and AKM Mosharraf Hossain Miaji to PTC Khulna.Among the Additional DIGs, Moha. Asaduzzaman has been transferred to RAB, while AKM Akhtaruzzaman and Md. Kutub Uddin have been posted to the Police Headquarters. Md. Al Mamun has been appointed Commandant of the 2nd APBN, Sarkar Mohammad Qaiser has been transferred to the Police Staff Training School (PSTS) in Betbunia, and Mohammad Mohibul Islam Khan has been posted to the Bangladesh Police Academy (BPA) in Sardah.In addition, Additional DIG Md. Abdul Warish has been transferred from the River Police to PTC Rangpur. Additional Police Commissioner Mohammad Rashidul Islam Khan has been attached to the office of the DIG of Barishal Range from Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP).Meanwhile, CID Special Superintendent of Police Kazi Ehsanul Kabir has been transferred to the Police Headquarters, while SB Dhaka Special Superintendent of Police Md. Zahidur Rahman has been posted to the Bangladesh Police Academy in Sardah.Superintendent of Police of the Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) in Dhaka, Salma Sayed Poly, has been attached to the office of the DIG of Rangpur Range. Commandant of the In-Service Training Centre in Jhenaidah, Md. Shahidul Islam, and Superintendent of Police of Dhaka Police Telecom, Md. Kamruzzaman, have also been attached to the office of the DIG of Barishal Range.
